About the Blog:
The goal is to provide novel, relevant, and light-but-meaningful takes on issues of today. With that, I plan to add enough personal context to provide a lens into where I’m seeing the world from and how that may differ from others.
My goal is for the content to be valuable, enlightening, and/or interesting for those who read it. Right now, a lot of that is focused around politics but it’s not restricted to that, and hopefully additional content (e.g. pieces about my life experiences while traveling) go to add color to the political commentary that I do provide.
Nerd. Techie. Runner. Traveler. Passionate. A Sarcastic SOB. These are some ways that I’ve been described (or so I imagine).
I’ve been a math nerd for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite trips as a kid was to go to “The Learning Resource” and beg my mom to buy flashcards, multiplication tables, and the latest set of Math24 cards. I was a strange kid.
Anyway, I studied systems engineering and finance at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. After graduating with a M.S. in Financial Engineering, I moved to the greater Washington DC area in 2011.
Since then I’ve been working in the emerging industry of big data analytics. First as a consultant and engagement manager for about four years before shifting into product management. In doing so, I was helping to design software that large companies leverage to derive insight from the data they have at their disposal.
I fit into many urban millennial stereotypes: traveler, avid runner, craft beer drinker, emerging food snob. Beyond the stereotypes, I feel most defined by my passion for learning, self-improvement, and achieving success at whatever challenge lies ahead of me.
In August 2016, I am leaving my job to do a blend of travel and entrepreneurship. After being on the road for over four months, I decided to move back to Washington D.C. and am currently plotting out exactly what I do next – hopefully in the D.C. area.
More info about what I’m doing now can be found here.
I can always be reached on this blog, various social media channels (see links to your left), and e-mail @ email@example.com.
